About Steady Prep

Free practice exams organized the way the real exams are.

Commercial prep for credentialing exams often costs hundreds of dollars, and a lot of it is built around memorizing facts rather than understanding where you're weak. Steady Prep takes a different approach: short practice sections that follow the official exam outline, followed by a study plan based on exactly what you missed.

How questions are written

Every question is original. Questions are written from the Commission on Dietetic Registration's public content outline and from current practice guidelines, such as KDOQI, ASPEN, the FDA Food Code, and IDDSI. We never copy or adapt questions from other prep products or from the exam itself.

Each question is tagged to a domain and a topic. That tagging is what powers the study plan at the end of every section.

Accuracy and corrections

Guidelines change, and mistakes happen. Every explanation names the rule or guideline behind the answer so you can check it. If you think an answer is wrong or out of date, email [email protected] with the question text. Confirmed errors are corrected and the question bank is updated.

What this is not

Steady Prep is not affiliated with the CDR or the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and its questions have not been statistically calibrated against the real exam. Practice scores are percentages, not the CDR's scaled score, so they can't predict whether you'll pass. Use them to find what to study.
